These terms apply to your use of Nonsense, on Android and at
nonsense.adamchok.com, run by Adam Chok, an individual developer based in Malaysia (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Nonsense you agree to these terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Nonsense.
What Nonsense is
Nonsense is a record-keeping tool for home poker games. It lets you record buy-ins, cash-outs and results and suggests how players could settle up. Nonsense does not hold, transfer or process money, does not accept bets, and is not a gambling service. Any settling up happens between players, outside the app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use Nonsense.
Your account
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. An account is for one person only.
Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile, then Delete account.
Acceptable use
When you use Nonsense you agree:
To make sure your games, and your use of Nonsense, comply with the laws where you live, including any laws on gambling.
To only add other people to sessions, friends or groups in ways they would expect, and not to enter false, offensive or sensitive information about anyone.
Not to harass, impersonate or mislead other users.
Not to break into, overload, disrupt, scrape or automate access to the service, or try to access other users’ data.
Not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows you to despite this restriction.
Not to use Nonsense for anything unlawful.
Your content
You own the information you enter. You allow us to store, copy and display it as needed to run Nonsense, including showing it to the people you play with, and to keep anonymised session records for other players after you delete your account, as described in our
Privacy Policy. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Our app
Nonsense, including its design, code, name and logo, belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own non-commercial purposes while you follow these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without paying you.
Other users and services
Results, statistics and settle-up suggestions are calculated from what players enter. Check them before relying on them. Your dealings with other players, including paying or collecting money, are between you and them; we are not responsible for disputes between players.
Nonsense relies on services from others, such as Google sign-in and app stores, whose own terms apply when you use them. We are not responsible for those services.
Availability and changes
Nonsense is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend or stop the service, or any feature, at any time, and we do not promise to provide support. Where practical we will give notice before stopping the service so you can stop using it.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Nonsense at any time and delete your account as described above. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users or the service at risk. The sections on your content, our app, disclaimers, liability and governing law continue to apply after your use ends.
Disclaimer
Nonsense is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, secure or always available, or that data will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of money, data or profits, arising from your use of Nonsense, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to RM 200. You are responsible for losses we suffer because you broke these terms or the law.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws where you live.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia can decide disputes about them. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Nonsense. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to someone who takes over Nonsense.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes we will update the date above and let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Nonsense after a change means you accept the updated terms.
